After watching the train doors close on her toddler, desperate single-mum Emma faces every parent’s worst nightmare – losing their child. But with little evidence to go on and the discovery of Emma’s post-natal depression casting doubt on her story, the police question whether Emma is lying about what happened to her son, Ritchie. Emma has to take the initiative and track down the mysterious woman she is convinced has stolen her baby.
Based on the novel Emma’s Baby by GP Abbie Taylor, the adaptation is written by Alan Whiting and supported by Sinéad Collopy. Alan was lead writer for international hit drama Wire in the Blood, his other credits include: Half Broken Things, Kingdom and Strike Back. Sinéad was a social worker specialising in child welfare before she started writing full time. Sinéad’s original piece, Every Five Miles aired on RTE, her other credits include: Smother and Hidden Assets.
