Entertainment One Inks Overall Distribution Deal with Three Tables Productions
London – April 2, 2020 – In its commitment to building a world-class slate, Entertainment One (eOne) has signed a multi-year distribution deal with indie production company Three Tables Productions. Under the pact, Three Tables Productions will develop and produce original scripted programming for eOne to distribute on a worldwide basis.
Three Tables was founded by an award-winning team of film and television executives, David Chikwe, Himesh Kar and JT Wong. Chairman of Three Tables Productions is film director, television producer and media executive David Green who founded September Films and went on to become CEO and then Chairman of DCD Media. Three Tables is developing several compelling drama projects aimed at the UK and international markets. These include projects being developed with france.tv studios (france télévisions) and the BBC.
Bound together by a desire to champion established and emerging talent, Chikwe, Kar and Wong draw on their distinct perspectives and diverse backgrounds. Embracing difference lies at the heart of their slate, and Three Tables believes that this helps to reveal the universal themes that attract audiences. Three Tables Productions is working with range of exciting talent, including Beatrix Christian (‘Picnic at Hanging Rock’), Simon Block (‘Windermere Children’, ‘The Eichmann Show’), Bola Agbaje (‘Gone too Far!’) and Veronica Gleeson (‘Sixteen’).

David Chikwe was formerly the Head of Development at Leopard Pictures, where he co-created and series produced the BAFTA-nominated CBBC show, ‘Eve’, and co-created BBC1’s ‘Missing’ starring Pauline Quirke. David also started the Leopard sub-label Blacklisted Films. His early career was spent in production and development at Ruby Films and Talkback Thames.
Himesh Kar was previously a Senior Executive at the UK Film Council, responsible for selecting and overseeing the development, financing and production of over 20 award-winning films including the Academy Award-winning ‘Man On Wire’, Sarah Gavron's ‘Brick Lane’, Amma Asante's ‘A Way of Life’ and Ken Loach's ‘The Wind That Shakes The Barley’. He was previously Managing Director at Speakit Films and Executive Producer of the Benedict Cumberbatch fronted ‘Walk With Me’.
Completing the trio is JT Wong, who has spent his career building early stage businesses both as an entrepreneur and an investor. JT also co-founded Mystical Productions, which produced ‘The Mysti Show’ for Saturday mornings on the BBC. JT has law degrees from Oxford and NYU School of Law, as well as an MBA in Finance from the University of Chicago.
